Dr. Kennedy was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. For her undergraduate studies, she attended the University of Michigan and received a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering with honors. After working as an IT consultant for several years, Dr. Kennedy enrolled in optometry school at the University of California - Berkeley.
Following graduation from optometry school, Dr. Kennedy moved to Colorado where she practiced at Golden Vision Clinic, a private optometry office, in Golden, Colorado. She also was nominated for and participated in the Colorado Optometric Association’s leadership development program.
After 4 years in Colorado, Dr. Kennedy relocated to the pacific northwest with her family and joined the Roosevelt Vision Clinic in 2016. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Optometric Physicians of Washington, and the King County Optometric Society. She is the 2020-2021 President of the King County Optometric Society. She was selected as the Young Optometrist of the Year for Washington State in 2022.
In her free time, Dr. Kennedy enjoys spending her free time outdoors and exploring Seattle and the surrounding areas with her husband and two sons.
While at Roosevelt Vision, Dr. Kennedy performs eye examinations for patients over the age of 4. Being nearsighted herself and with two young kids growing up in the nearsighted epidemic, Dr. Kennedy has a particular interest in myopia control including therapeutic and contact lens treatments.
