What to Expect at Your Visit

Please bring your medical insurance card, as well as any glasses or contacts you currently wear. See HERE for information about our location and parking.

New Patients

• Please complete our registration forms found HERE prior to your visit and bring them to your appointment.

• Arrive at your appointment 10 minutes early to allow for parking and completion of paperwork if needed.

• If you wear contact lenses, please bring in your current prescription or contact lens boxes.

Optical Frame Gallery

• Whether you are here for an appointment or just walking in, our Optical Specialists provide personalized frame styling and will help you select the lens options that are best for you.

• We provide complimentary, repairs, adjustments and evaluations of your eyewear regardless of where the glasses were purchased.

• Walk-ins are welcomed! Our Optical Gallery is open M-F 7:30-5:30

Examination Protocols

• During your comprehensive eye exam, we will evaluate your overall eye health and determine your vision correction needs. We will take wide field digital retinal photographs on everyone to monitor current retinal issues and/or carefully screen for any new issues. Your eyes MAY be dilated so please bring a pair of sunglasses with you to help with light sensitivity or we can provide you with a slip-on sun shield.

• If you have a new or ongoing eye concern, contact us at 206-527-2987. It might be evaluated as part of your eye exam, or it might require a separate visit. See HERE for more information about eye health conditions and our eye care services.

COVID-19 Information

Roosevelt Vision is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for staff and patients. In accordance with the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) Health Mask Order update, effective as of April 3rd, 2023, Roosevelt Vision has discontinued required masking for patients.

Mask:

• For patients, masks are optional but still welcome! We can provide surgical masks for anyone who would like to wear one.

• Masks are required for all staff in close contact with patients, including doctors, technicians, and opticians.

• Since COVID-19 can be a cause of red irritated eyes or discharge, we will ask patients who present for medical evaluation of red eye(s) to wear a mask.

Cleaning and Disinfection:

• Our staff follow strict CDC and OSHA requirements for disinfection of rooms and equipment. We continue to regularly clean and sanitize high-touch areas throughout the clinic.

• In our Optical Gallery there are designated frame trays for any frames that are tried on. All frames are sanitized prior to returning them to the gallery.

If you’d prefer to wait outside for your appointment, there is seating in front of our building and in the building lobby. Our Optical Specialists are available to assist you with glasses outside or in a private room. Contact us at 206-527-2987 or let us know at check-in if you need assistance with this.

Air Quality Information

Roosevelt Vision (inside the Salal Financial Center) has had Ionization units installed on our rooftop HVAC air intakes. The Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization technology (NPBI), from Global Plasma Solutions, delivers clean indoor air that is safe and healthy, producing neither ozone nor other harmful by-products. The ionization units purify the air by eliminating airborne particulates, odors, and pathogens.
